The
High Price of Long Distance Love

If
you do your homework and are still confused about what plan is
best for you, call the phone companies and ask them to evaluate
your long distance charges. They'll happily give you advice on
the best plan your you. If you are switching plans within the
same company ask them to give you a credit for last month's calls
under the new plan. Sometimes they will, so it won't hurt to ask.
Aside
from the phone, there are other ways to communicate with your
LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP. Try using an instant message service
such as Yahoo! Pager or AOL Instant Message. If both of you have
sound cards and microphones on your computer, you can even use
Yahoo! Pager to talk real time for free. There are lots of different
instant messager services out on the web. Use those search engines
to find them!
And,
don't forget that you can always go into a free chat room to talk
privately.
Well,
I want to see my lover in the flesh, what now?
If
your long distance relationship is going anywhere, eventually
you two will want to meet in the flesh and air travel is expensive.
Once again the Internet can provide you with great options. I
searched high and low for some cheap fares and here is what I
discovered.
You
can save about 15% by booking over the Internet and traveling
on an e-ticket. (An e-ticket means you never receive a paper ticket.
You just present your identification at the gate.) Try to stick
with one airline and enroll in their frequent flyer program. Within
five months I had already earned a free trip to anywhere Alaska
Airlines flies!
