| Who is Femme: the Magazine? The Publisher
 Christine Drinkwater is a 29 year old Femme living in Dallas with her Butch hubby and their three children (a blind Silky Terrier, a deaf chihuahua and a black cat). She works as a database developer which helps her support her web habit.
The Editor  JoAnn Castillo lives in Baghdad by the Bay, California, with her daughter (16 and an amazing young woman), her cat and dog. She's a computer consultant, outstanding cook, loving mom and awesome femme. She is happily, madly in love with the most wonderful butch (who lives nearby). She just celebrated her 50th birthday, and she hopes she starts demonstrating that prudence and wisdom we expect of an older woman.
Cover Story  Nedhera Landers is a 41 y.o. Black, luxuriously appointed femme living in Oak Park, IL. Single with one "fur baby" - my cat Tigre. I'm always happy to talk about the butch-femme experience and how it has played out in my life.
Feature Writers  De-Anna Alba is the author of The Cauldron of Change: Mysteries and Magik of the Goddess, Delphi Press, (1992), and is also a regular contributor to Sage Woman Magazine, a quarterly magazine of women's spirituality. She identifies as a Stonefemme. She recently moved to Santa Rosa, CA., where she is in business with her Butch husband. She has a son, and writes as often as she can about the butch/femme dynamic, especially spiritual issues.
 Mowani Carter, a native of Chicago, currently lives in Seattle where she shares her life with her mate Kim, her two cats, and a silky terrier. She is the proud mother of a second generation femme, Kenya. When she's not reading, listening to music or writing, Mowani spends her energy working for peace.
 Susan Craigie is a single 40 year-old femme living in Vancouver, Canada, with her two teenage sons. She is out in every aspect of her life, from her work in housing mentally ill active drug adicts with HIV, to being the mom on the soccer pitch or hockey arena, or doing anti-poverty work. Being femme is who she is, the rest changes through time. Loving butches is the added colour to a full life.
Columnists  Lipsky aka Dr. Lipstick is a Jewish femme from Seattle, Washington who works in public health and is working on her PhD in epidemiology. She lives with her 6 year old daughter whom she coparents part-time, and her Texas butch. Her son is away at college. Lipsky experienced a second coming out (as a femme) at the ripe age of 50.
 Ms. Moneygrrl is an accountant working for a major internet startup. She is an active member of the leather community and is currently residing in the Bay Area.
 Suzi, aka WickedSuzi to those who KNOW better, is currently imprisoned under TIGHT security in T's Correctional Facility in Houston, Texas. The intense and horrific heat makes it nearly unendurable, but so far, LOVE is the tie that binds. She defines her existence as High Femme, Stone Femme... and claims the title of Queen of the Beanies...

 Victoria is a Canadian Femme living in Washington State with her Butch husband. She is active in the Butch-Femme community both online and real life. She enjoys gardening, shopping on EBay and of course giving advice to the lovelorn. Victoria is not a therapist or psychologist.
