| Call for submissions: General information: Femme: the magazine is a new, on-line magazine for, about and by femmes. Format: An on-line magazine of provocative essays, personal stories, academic work, regular information columns, erotica, short stories, pictures, artwork and poetry. Mission Statement: Femme: the magazine is an on-line magazine about femmes. Based on the world wide web, with toeholds in Dallas and San Francisco, Femme: the magazine is published quarterly by Christine Drinkwater and edited by JoAnn Castillo. Our mission is to provide a forum for femmes, be they from the old-school of the 1950's, or from the newer generation of femme lesbians. The magazine will spark discussion, challenge stereotypes, amuse and inform by publishing work specific to lesbians who identify as femmes. The January 2000 issue will explore the theme: The Millennium Femme: Where have we been? Where are we going? We are seeking articles and short fiction that addresses Femmes - past, present and future.. Pictures, essays, theory, personal experience etc on Femmes in the new Millenium are welcomed.
