Gender... is such a confusing thing. I could sit here for hours
writing about what my gender identity means to me but unless
someone feels the same way I do, it would still be impossible
to really understand. I guess you could equate it to how a white,
middle class man can not know what it is like to be a Latino,
lower class woman. I think that one of the most important things
to know is that for so many people, gender is NOT a binary thing.

So I am
going blind. No really going blind. Wow, just writing that
freaks me out.
I was
your basically nerdy four eyed kid. My bad sight is hereditary,
both my mom and dad have not so good eyes.
I started
wearing glasses when I was in 1st grade, graduated to my first
set of contacts by the time I was in 4th grade and have pretty
much been wearing them ever since.
I don't
feel sexy in my glasses, although my husband swears he finds
me sexy in my geek grrls rule the world set. I just figure
he has to say this, afterall he is my husband!
